Four family benefit dinner to be held

A benefit dinner to assist four area families is planned for Wednesday, June 12. The event will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Columbus 4-H Building and will offer drive by, delivery and dine in options.

The Sportsman’s Club fishing tournament winners received prizes for the biggest fish in each age group. The six years old and under big fish was caught by Cooper Miller with an 8.6 pound catfish. Adley Ellison was second with a 1.93 pound bass and Jackson Hutching was third in the class with a 1.

My favorite kind of literature is historical fiction. When traveling, we sometimes visit places I’ve read about in books or periodicals.For instance, we visited a plantation and cemetery south of Franklin, TN which is the setting for the book “The Widow of the South”.
