Cinco de Mayo was celebrated by Chapter BT of P.E.O. International at noon on Monday, May 6. Hostesses were Mary Lou Thompson and Alma Cook. Members enjoyed chips and homemade salsa and Mexican Wedding Cake made by Thompson and taco casserole with all the toppings prepared by Cook.

“Page Turners” the book discussion group, a facet of the Columbus Public Library, will meet Monday, May 20 at 9:30 a.m. at the Hospitality Center on North Kansas Street.Those attending will discuss “Three Sisters” written by Heather Morris.

The Columbus Titan Band spring concert was held May 7 in the CUHS auditorium. Five pieces were performed including Ascent To The Summit by Tara Islas highlighting the CUHS Brass Choir. Other pieces were Choose Joy, This Cruel Moon, Mountain Dance and Clowns.
