Members of the Columbus Bunco crew celebrated Christmas with a potluck and pajama party at their December 12 games. Over the years membership has expanded from mainly Columbus participants to include players from Oklahoma.

The Cherokee County Democratic Party gathered Thursday, December 14 for their annual Christmas Party at the Old Riverton Post Office. There was a short business meeting. Tom Pryor spoke on the benefits that Medicaid Expansion would have for our citizens and local hospitals.
At the annual Community Christmas Dinner Virginia Leake was in charge of placing the turkey on all of the orders. The event had a large turnout and everyone had a nice selection of dishes for their meal.

Deputies Zach Davis and Seth Brooks graduated recently from Kansas Law Enforcement Training Center after successfully completing the 14-week training academy.
