Kansas State honors students are named

Kansas State University has announced students who have earned semester honors for their academic performance in the fall 2025 semester.Keegan Harris of Columbus, Jade Peak of Scammon and Kayann Humble from Cherokee have been named to the list.

WSU announces local graduates

Local students complete fall degrees at Wichita State University.They include Kendra M. Cavender, Columbus, Bachelor of Arts in Education, ECU/Elementary Education Apprentice, Magna Cum Laude; Camryn P. Compton, Riverton, Master of Health Administration, Health Administration (Accel) and Mattea A.

Cherokee County Jail Report

Cody Scott Myott-McLean, 33, was arrested Sunday by Cherokee County Sheriff’s Deputies on charges of operating a motor vehicle without a valid license, vehicle liability insurance required and driving under the influence and is being held in lieu of $10,000 bail.
