Two members of the Lute family took first and second place in the 16 and older Crappie competition. The family has been competing and winning the contest for 19 years. Ellis Lute took first place with a 4.19 Bass. Charlotte Lute had a 3.70 pound Bass for second and Chris Ran had a 2.71 pound Bass for third place
A record turnout for the annual West Mineral Eagles Lodge, “Kids Fishing Tournament” Saturday.
There were 325 entries signed up for the tournament ending at 5 p.m. Saturday. This was twice as many participants as they had last year during the pandemic peak.
The competition was stiff this year with the big crowd.
