Dr. Smith explains school bond to GOP
The school project funded by the bond issue would add a cafeteria and kitchen which would double as a safe room for 457 occupants. The project will add separate grade level bus and parent drop-off areas, according to Superintendent Dr. Brian Smith. If the bond passes, the seventh and eighth grade students will be moved to the high school campus, and the second and third grades will be moved to Central campus.
Voters in the Columbus 493 School District are being asked to pass a $14.75-million bond issue to complete a renovation plan.
