A car vs. deer accident occurred November 16 at approximately 6:25 a.m. A 2015 Ford Taurus driven by Bryan D. Miller, 54, Baxter Springs, was traveling north on Highway 43 south of Joplin, Mo., at Route C. Miller struck a deer in the roadway. He was taken to Freeman West in Joplin, Mo., by ambulance. He was wearing a seatbelt. Missouri Highway Patrol troopers investigated.
