The number two seed in the Kansas Class 2A Arma-Northeast Sub-State Tournament, Cherokee-Southeast (19-6) will play the number three seed, St. Mary’s-Colgan (17-6) in the Sub-State 2 Championship, in Arma, Saturday.

The Lady Titan Wrestling Team completed their 2026 season at the Kansas Class 4A State Wrestling Tournament, February 27-28. Team members wrestling at state were Kayleigh Morgan, Adalynn Hutto, Cara Altis, Brooklyn Collingsworth, Hannah Noel, and Tatum Kirk. See results on Page 6. Courtesy photo.

Local baller, Beau Crain, and his KS Thunder Team won the third grade title at the Kansas State Basketball Championship Tournament, over the weekend in Kansas City. Beau, a student at Central Elementary School in Columbus, was named Tournament Most Valuable Player.
Lady Titan Senior, Jacianna Heflin, was recognized during Senior Night at the Titans home game against Frontenac, February 23, at the CUHS Gymnasium. Jacianna is a one-year member of the Titan Cheer Squad. She was escorted by her parents, Malinda and Jason Heflin and sister, Jocelynn Heflin.
