Lady Titans fall in CNC match-up

The Columbus Lady Titans took a fall in their CNC League match-up Riverton, 63-40, at the Columbus Unified High School Gymnasium, Tuesday.Riverton dominated with a 19-7 first quarter lead as Rilyn Thomasson, junior, poured in 12 points for the Lady Rams.

Titans take third in 63rd People’s Bank Tournament

The Columbus Titans placed eight wrestlers in the top three to place third in the team scoring at the 63rd Annual People`s Bank of Seneca Wrestling Tournament.Columbus scored 279.5 team points with 11 wrestlers in third followed by Clinton, Mo. in fourth with 11 wrestler scoring 211 team points.

Hutto captures first in Washburn-Rural Invitational

The Columbus Lady Titans placed seventh out of 20 schools competing in the Sixth Annual Washburn Women`s Invitational Wrestling Tournament, Saturday in Topeka. Adalynn Hutto paced the Columbus wrestlers with her first place finish in the 190-weight class and 14 of the Lady Titan’s 80 team points.

Titan Junior, Mason O’Banion earned his 100th win in the championship bout of the 32nd Annual Eureka Invitational Tournament, January 23 in Eureka. Very few wrestlers reach the 100 win mark in their four-year high school career and Mason has reached the mark as a junior.
