Titan Senior Wrestler, Jayden Rodriguez wrestled to a win by fall over Shiloh Christian opponent, January 15, in a home dual to collect his 100th career win. He is being recognized as Titan of the Week.The win came over a 2025 Arkansas State Runner- up, Max Eldridge.

Weather forces Lancer Classic rescheduling

Impending weather has caused a change in the semi-final and championship rounds of the 2026 Lancer Classic at Southeast High School.Originally the girls were scheduled to play their semi-final rounds, Thursday with the boys playing the second round of the tournament Friday.

Columbus Recreation hosting tournament

The Columbus Recreation Commission is hosting a basketball tournament, the Titan Classic, tomorrow and Sunday for boys and girls teams in second through sixth grades.Games will be played in four gymnasiums across the city.

Lady Titans take fifth in LC tourney

The Columbus Lady Titans placed fifth with 76 team points in a field of 17 schools at the Labette County Girls Tournament, Saturday in Altamont.

Five Columbus Titan Wrestlers placed in the top ten at the Bobcat Classic in Bashor, Saturday, to lead the Titan Team to a tenth place finish in a field of 43 teams and over 350 wrestlers.
Titan Junior, Ethan Midgett, drove coast to coast following a steal but was fouled on his way to the basket by Baxter Springs Junior, Logan Abbott. Junior, Caleb Grant was also in on the chase. Ethan lead Titan scoring with 17 points in the 48-46 win in Baxter Springs.

Titans disrupt Lion homecoming

The Columbus Titans got their first win of 2026 and spoiled the homecoming for the Baxter Springs Lions Friday night in Baxter. Another lack luster fourth quarter by the Titans shot feelings of dread and leads lost in previous games to anxious Titan Fans.

Columbus spoils homecoming for Baxter Springs girls

The Columbus Lady Titans came away with their second win of 2026 Friday night when they caged their host, Lady Lions, on homecoming, 4126.Sophomore, Americus Woodcock, opened the scoring with a steal and a layup at the opposite end of the court.

Natalini, Johnson place in Bobcat Classic tourney

Local mini wrestlers, Briggs Johnson and Lucas Natalini represented the community at the Bobcat Classic Youth Open in Basehor-Linwood and came home with a third place and fourth place finish in their respective weight classes.

CUHS JV wrestlers at Labette County

Six wrestlers competed for Columbus in the Labette County JV Tournament Saturday. Kaden Rowe placed second in the 285-weight class while Jasper Cox, Wyatt Gannaway, and Ethan Wulf all took third place in their respective weight classes.Columbus has a junior varsity mixer at Chanute January 27.

The Columbus Titan Wrestlers dominated in their home dual, Thursday with a 54-22 win over Shiloh Christian. The win was highlighted by senior, Jayden Rodriguez, earning his 100th career win by fall over Max Eldridge, a 2025 Arkansas State Runner-up.
