Fourth quarter lull hands win to Lancers

The Columbus Titans overcame a six-point, first quarter deficit to take a 5245 lead into the fourth quarter. But a lull in the final stanza handed the visiting Southeast Lancers, with one game already under their belt for 2026, the win, 6455, in Columbus, Thursday.

Titans dominate Carthage Tigers

Columbus Titan Wrestlers won nine of the 14 matches in their dual win in Carthage, Mo. Thursday. Two of the five Titan loses were by forfeit.Freshman, Denver Hughes; sophomore, Chase Pelt; and juniors, Braun Stone and Mason O’Banion won their matches by fall, earning six team points each.

Lady Titans second at Augusta Invite

The Columbus Girls Wrestling Team took on 18 schools from Kansas in the Fifth Annual Augusta Girls Invitational, Friday, and came home in second place as the tournament runners-up. The Lady Titans earned 135 team points from 11 wrestlers in their quest for the title.

Columbus Junior High Seventh and Eighth Grade Basketball hosted the New Heights Cougars, Tuesday, at the Central School Gymnasium. The visitors walked away with wins in both games, 55-29 in the eighth grade game and 48-18 in the seventh grade contest.The Christian School from Joplin, Mo.
