Lady Titan Wrestling has busy start to 2025-26 season

The Columbus Lady Titan Wrestlers kicked off their season December 5 at the Caney Valley High School, Kan-Okla Tournament and December 12 at the Bentonville West Tournament against talented wrestlers from multiple states.

Columbus Wrestling Club hosts annual Ken Jones Classic

The Columbus Wrestling Club hosted the Seventh Annual Ken Jones Wrestling Classic, December 14, at the CUHS Gymnasium. Nearly the entire club signed up to wrestle on their home mats to honor the long-time, highly decorated, Titan Wrestling Coach.
Three members of the Columbus Unified High School Vocal Music Department were successful with auditions for the Kansas State Chorus. The Lady Titans were selected to represent their school in a performance with the State Band in February. Piper Hayes and Jacianna Heflin were chosen for the Mixed Choir and India Daniels was selected to the Treble Choir. They are being recognized as Titans of the Week.

Rams dominate in CNC win over Titans

The Columbus Titans wrapped up their pre-Christmas basketball schedule with a loss in Riverton, 38-73, December 19. In a darkened, throw-back gymnasium, the Rams entered with booming introductions and bright spotlights on the players, setting the tone for dominance early.

Helms, Riverton breeze past Columbus

Former Lady Titan, Ellie Helms, led her current team, the Riverton Lady Rams, to a 49-20 victory over Columbus, December 19 in Riverton. The senior scored 19 points leading all scorers on the night.Columbus was outmatched from the start.

Titan ballers return January 8

Columbus Unified High School Basketball returns from Christmas Break to host back-to-back games, January 8 and 9 at the CUHS Gymnasium. Thursday the Titans are hosting he Southeast Lancers beginning with junior varsity girls at 4:30 p.m. The varsity girls take the court at 6 p.m.

CJHS basketball boys season opens

The Columbus Junior High Boys Basketball Team begins their season January 5 hosting Baxter Springs at 4:30 p.m. They are scheduled to host New Heights Christian School, January 6. The time was not confirmed at press time.

O’Banion paces duals tournament

The Columbus Titan Wrestlers hosted nine teams from four states for the 2025 Columbus Duals, Saturday, at the CUHS Gymnasium. The local team placed third in team standings following a tie breaker that gave Bentonville the team championship.
