Final flag games Saturday morning

The final flag football games will be held Saturday morning at Titan Stadium. Players are asked to be at the high school field at 7:30 a.m.“We hope they have enjoyed their season have learned a little bit about the game,” a league official noted.

Titans of the Week

The Lady Titan Golf Team won the CNC League Team Title following the conclusion of the regular league season, Tuesday. They are being recognized as Titans of the Week.The Lady Titans were first in three of the five CNC League Tournaments this season and placed second in the remaining two events.

Rams even with win over Titans

The Riverton Rams evened their season record at 3-3 with a road win in Columbus, Friday. The Titan Football Team fell to 5-1 on the season following the 12-21 loss to their visitors at Titan Stadium.There was a lot less laundry on the field this week after over 300 yards in penalties last week.

Week 6 football contest results

Week six was the beginning of district play for many teams while others have already built a lead in their respective standings. Frontenac improved to 5-1 overall and 2-0 in Kansas Class 3A, District 1 with their win over Baxter Springs.
Elijah Shoemaker had a long run after catch before being pushed out of bounds at the three-yard line. He punched it in on the next play to put Columbus in the lead, 24-7, just before the first half ended at Baxter Springs, Thursday. The Titans came away with the win, 38-14 to improve to 3-2 on the season.

CJHS Eighth wins at Baxter Springs

A big second quarter led to running clock in the second half and a 3814 win for the Columbus Junior High Titan eighth grade football team, Thursday, in Baxter Springs.The Titans got on the board first in the second quarter after a scoreless first period.

The CUHS Lady Titan Golf Team may have placed second at the Baxter Springs Invitational Tournament, Tuesday, but it was all they needed to secure the 2025 CNC League Team Championship.

CJHS wraps CC season at Pitt

The CJHS Cross Country Team wrapped up their 2025 season Tuesday in Pittsburg. Kai Davis placed second in the boys seventh grade two mile race, 13:45 minutes, and Trent Lacen placed 17th, 15:50 minutes.

SE Volleyball sweeps league night

Southeast High School swept league night, 2-0, Tuesday, in Three Rivers League play at Chetopa.They took the win over Pleasanton in the first match, 25-18; 25-20 then followed with a win over Chetopa, 25-9; 25-8.

CJHS blanks St. Mary’s-Colgan, 36-0

The Columbus Junior High School Titans blanked the visiting St. Mary’s-Colgan Panthers, Thursday, at Titan Stadium. Eighth Grader, Blaze Bowman, scored four touchdowns from the helm as quarterback.Bowman opened the scoring in the first quarter with a 10-yard pass to Hayden Kellogg.

Teams plagued by penalties in Titan win

The game had more penalty yardage than total yardage gained but the Columbus Titans managed to overcome their 15 penalties for 162 yards to squeeze past their hosts, 15-14, Friday night in Baxter Springs.The teams combined for 301 total penalty yards with more flags than a Flag Day Parade.
