Saturday’s CAY Soccer schedule

The Columbus Area Youth Soccer League continues into their third week of games tomorrow at Eddington Park.The three-and-four year-olds and the sevenand- eight year-olds kick off the morning with 9 a.m. games.The five-and-six yearold and nine-and-ten yearold divisions will begin at 9:30 a.m.

Mini Titans still undefeated, 4-0

The Columbus Mini Titan Football Teams remain undefeated at 4-0 following wins in Parsons, Saturday.The third and fourth grade Titans came out fired up and never let up, shutting out their hosts 20-0. The defense was unstoppable and the offense kept the momentum rolling throughout game.

Titan CC third in home meet

The Columbus Cross Country Team placed third in their home meet, Tuesday, at the Brush Creek Golf Course. Junior, Carter Woodcock, paced the Titan Team with his fourth place finish in the varsity 5K race. He ran a time of 18:39 minutes.

Cross Country Team races at Rim Rock

In a field of 503 high school competitors, the Columbus Titan Cross Country Team ran the 5K course against the best runners in the state.Junior, Carter Woodcock, turned in the best time of 19:15.15 minutes to place 148th in the large, talented field of racers.The winning time of 16:23.

CJHS Titans earn first win at Parsons

The Columbus Titan Eighth Grade Football Team scored 20 first quarter points and cruised to a win, 44-6, over their hosts, Thursday, in Parsons. Columbus improved their record to 1-2 on the season with the victory.

Columbus hosting cross country meets today

Columbus Junior and Senior High School Cross Country Teams are hosting meets today to include a junior high race, a junior varsity race, and varsity girls and boys races today the Brush Creek Golf Course.The junior high teams will be on the course first for a 3 p.m.

Jr. High Volleyball goes 5-4 in tourney

The Columbus Lady Titan Junior High Volleyball Team had a full day of matches, Thursday, in a Riverton Tournament. The four Lady Titan teams finished just above .500 with a 5-4 set record winning two matches and losing two matches.The eighth grade B Team and the C Team got wins Joplin, Mo.

Gabern secures Lancer Invite title

In their last home meet of their high school career, Southeast Seniors, Zayne Gabern and Kendyl Renn, made it count by running their fastest times on their home course. Kendyl finished third in the varsity girls 5K with a time of 23:45 minutes.
