Lady Titan Senior, Piper Hayes was crowned the 2025 Fall Homecoming Queen Friday night during coronation ceremonies prior to the homecoming game against Neodesha.
Titan Sophomore, Jonas Stover, came down with one of his three pass receptions in the end zone for the lone touchdown for Columbus in the 7-20 homecoming loss to Neodesha, Friday, at Titan Stadium. Senior, Jett Tanner, threw the pass from eight yards out.

Week 4 football contest results

The Columbus Titans lost their homecoming match up to Neodesha, 7-20, to fall to 0-4 on the season while St. Mary’s-Colgan remains undefeated with a 63-7 win over Pleasanton in a Kansas Class 1A, District 1 contest.

Carpino has back-to-back wins

Cali Carpino, Lady Titan Freshman, captured her second win of the week on the links to lead the Columbus Unified High School Girls Golf Team to a win at the Galena Invitational Golf Tournament, Thursday at the Schifferdecker Golf Course in Joplin, Mo.

The Columbus Mini Titan Football teams remain undefeated midway through their season with wins over Pittsburg, Saturday, at Titan Stadium.The third and fourth grade team won a close battle over a tough Pittsburg Dragons (Pitt-Hinspeter) squad and earned a 28-20 victory.

Titans place two, three at Oswego

Titan Juniors, Carter Woodcock and Levi Simpson placed second and third in the Oswego Invitational Cross Country Meet, September 18. Carter completed the 5K race in a time of 19:21.92 minutes with Levi close behind with a time of 19:29.96 minutes.
