Adamson’s explosive first half dooms Titans

The youth of the Columbus Titans was exploited Friday night as a well-seasoned St. Mary’s-Colgan Team poured in 55 first half points, largely on the legs of senior running back, Klayton Adamson, in their 55-13 win at Titan Stadium.Columbus won the toss and elected to receive the opening kickoff.

The Columbus Unified High School Lady Titan Golfers took first place in the Girard Invitational, Thursday at the Crawford Hills Golf Course. Junior, Natalie Wary, was the top medalist and freshman, Cali Carpino tied for fourth place on their way to the team title.

Titan Junior Varsity fall to Bulldogs

The Columbus Junior Varsity Titans hosted the Galena Bulldogs at Titan Stadium, Monday. The Bulldogs got a shut out and went home with the win, 24-0 over the home team.The Bulldogs received the kickoff to start the game and ate up the first quarter clock.

Krokroskia tapped for Baxter Springs Sports Hall of Fame

Baxter Springs High School 1985 Graduate, Sean Krokroskia, has been tapped as one of four individuals for induction into the Baxter Springs Sports Hall of Fame.Krokroskia was a standout three-sport athlete during his high school tenure who hit his stride with the baseball team his senior year.

Mini Titans sweep home opener

The Columbus Mini Titans swept their home opener against Arma, Saturday, at Titans Stadium. The third and fourth grade Titans came out fired up and set the tone early, storming to a big 20-0 victory.Several Titans came up with big runs backed by a tough defense.

Lucas Haviland, Lee Snow, and Cruz Sharp played in the tournament with their fall baseball team, the Fox Sports Sox, in their season opener over the weekend in Fayetteville, Ark. Jr. High CC has successful first meet

The Columbus Junior High School Cross Country Team opened their season at the Girard Invitational at the Greenbush course. All runners finished in the top 15 with six in the top 10.
