SE Volleyball sweeps league night

Southeast Volleyball swept their two matches on league night at St. Paul, beating their hosts in three sets, 11-25; 26-24; 24-26 and Southern Coffey County in two sets, 25-7; 25-8.A sluggish start in the first set had the Lady Lancers playing from behind in the second set.

CUHS Golf second in Missouri tourney

The Columbus Lady Titan Golf Team placed second in the Carl Junction Invitational, Monday, ahead of seven Missouri teams and in a total of 10 Missouri schools. Columbus had a team total of 376 stokes behind Carthage, Mo. who took first place with a team total of 367.

Southeast falls to Galena in duel

Southeast fell to Galena in a in a volleyball duel, Thursday, in Galena. The Lady Bulldogs took the varsity best-of-five dual in three sets, 25-12; 25-20, 25-17 on their home court.

Seven Lancers medal in Girard Invitational Meet

The Southeast Cross Country Team placed seven runners in the top tier to bring home hardware from the Girard Invitational Meet, Thursday at the Girard Greenbush Course.The team returned six of their medalists from last year with high expectations.

Laurance, Woodcock top 20 in Girard 5K

Titan Juniors, Drake Laurance and Carter Woodcock placed in the top 20 of the highly competitive Girard Invitational Cross Country Meet, Thursday at the Greenbush Course. Drake placed 16th with a time of 19:10.68 minutes and Carter placed 17th with a tine of 19:11.38 minutes.

Bulldogs edge Titans in CNC League battle of 0-1 teams

The Columbus Titans had multiple chances to come away with a win in their week two match up but were unable to capitalize. Coming off a week one, 49-6 thrashing, the Galena Bulldogs were hungry for a win and took advantage to their visitors miscues to hang on for the win, 20-13.

Lady Titan Junior Cara Altis placed third in the girls junior varsity race of the Girard Invitational Cross Country Meet, Thursday, at the Greenbush Course. Cara completed the two mile race in 16:10.88 minutes. She was the highest places runner from the CNC League.
