Put quilts on display at Columbus Day Festival

Thanks to the Columbus Public Library, the Quilt Show will once again be held during the Columbus Day Festival.Most every family has a quilt that has been handed down through generations. It is put on a shelf or wrapped for protection and put away.

The Farm Heritage Show will be held downtown again during this year’s Columbus Day Festival, thanks to Keith Karsten and Harold Depenbush and their committee members.The Farm Heritage Show will be held on E. Pine down from the intersection of Kansas. Several new things have been added for this year.

‘Revealing Revelation’ Bible study at Pleasant Hill Baptist

A special journey through the book of Revelation, “Revealing Revelation”, where ancient visions meet modern relevance, is planned by Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Beginning September 1 and continuing on the first and third Sundays for 13 weeks, the study will take place at 10:45 a.m.

It is time to register your child or grandchild for the 2024 Little Mr. and Miss Columbus contest. It will be held during the Columbus Day Festival and hosted by Labette Bank. Boys and girls must be between the ages of three and five years of age and live in the Columbus USD 493 district.

Rules for Little Mister, Miss Columbus event

Children ages three to five who reside in the Columbus USD #493 School District may enter the Little Mr and Miss Columbus contest by stopping by the Chamber office to register by Thursday, August 29.
