Art students at Southeast High School recently attended the Three River’s League Art Fair.The event was held April 3 at Jayhawk-Linn.Local artist, Kate Freeman with The Artificers in Fort Scott was one of the presenters.Additional artists also also had discussions with the students.

SE FBLA students place at State event

The State Future Business Leaders of America Conference was held April 4 and 5 in Topeka. Five Southeast High School students made the trip. Four students placed in the top 10 in their events. Rowdy Robertson, Human Resource Management, third place and Accounting II, tenth place.

The honeybees were flying at P.E.O. Chapter BT’s April 1 meeting. Members met at 12:30 p.m. in Fellowship Hall of the United Methodist Church in Baxter Springs. The hostesses were Clara Wassom and Judy Brewster. Tables were decorated with a honeybee theme.
