The resignation of Cherokee County Clerk Kyle Rennie was accepted Monday by the Cherokee County Commissioners. The resignation is effective December 30, 2021, according to Rennie.
Without submitting his resignation in writing, Rennie spoke up near the end of the commissioners regular meeting to tell them he was leaving the post to pursue other business interests.
