Josie’s closes after 35 years

The area lost a major landmark earlier this week as Josie’s Ristorante in Scammon closed their doors. The popular Italian eatery announced their closing on their website and were officially closed on December 22.

Keeping roads safe for holidays

Beginning around December 26 and continuing through January 2, the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office will join many other law enforcement agencies across the area and state, including the Kansas Highway Patrol, in the Taking Down DUI traffic enforcement campaign.
