St. Paul Mark Terlip Classic continues

The Columbus Titans and Lady Titans opened the 2021 St. Paul Mark Terlip Classic last night in Cherokee against the Southeast Lancers and Lady Lancers. Scores were not available at press time. The remaining schedule for the week in St. Paul will be Thursday, Columbus Girls will play Chetopa at 4 p.

Annual Ken Jones Classic set Sunday, December 19

The Columbus Wrestling Club is hosting the Third Annual Ken Jones Classic Tournament, Sunday, December 19, at the Columbus High School Gymnasium. The 6U, 8U, and girls divisions will begin at 9 a.m. The 10U, 12U, and 14U divisions will follow begining at noon.

Building demolished on historic retail site

After several years of sitting empty the former grocery store building on at the corner of Walnut Street and Kansas Avenue, demolition crews have brought the building to a pile of rubble.
