Tanya Dee Palmer, 47, was arrested Tuesday by Galena Police officers on charges of failure to appear and is being held in lieu of $306 bail. Nathan Samuel B. Caton, 25, was arrested Tuesday by Baxter Springs Police officers on a warrant and is being held without bail.

A death investigation is being conducted by the Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI) and the Galena Police Department. On December l, at approximately 6:30 p.m., officers from the Galena Police Department were dispatched to a residence after a subject reported he had located a deceased person.

After a long-term investigation by the Ozarks Drug Enforcement Team, a former Columbus man was arrested Tuesday. The team served a search warrant at 27592 West Fir Road in Carl Junction, Mo. Chet Mercer, 33, was arrested at his camper.
