City to host code explanation dinner

Stolen vehicle found in Baxter Springs

Stolen property was recovered at a Baxter Springs home Saturday morning and two suspects were taken into custody after Cherokee County Sheriff’s Deputies discovered a stolen vehicle hidden in the garage.

Riverton man arrested

A rural Cherokee County man was taken into custody Friday after Sheriff’s Detectives obtained a warrant for his arrest. The warrant was issued as part of an investigation into the May 23 burglary of a barn in rural Riverton, where suspects attempted to steal a trailer and equipment.
