ServSafe food manager training

A ServSafe Food Manager Training and exam will be held Wednesday, July 28 sponsored by K-State Research and Extension Wildcat District. Training will be held at Kansas State University Southeast Research and Extension Center, 25092 Ness Road, in Parsons. Class starts at 8 a.m. with exam at 4:30 p.m.

Canton china with its blue and white decoration has been a popular collectible for many years, but few can distinguish it from the other early or modern Chinese blue and white china. It has been popular for centuries partly because cobalt blue coloring was safe to use when decorating dishes.

Fresh fish hot from the fryer was the main course at the annual Miner’s Reunion fish fry held at Big Brutus on Saturday. The annual event brought miners from around the country to West Mineral for their reunion. Jarel Bullard was the chef.
