A ServSafe Food Manager Training and exam will be held Wednesday, July 28 sponsored by K-State Research and Extension Wildcat District. Training will be held at Kansas State University Southeast Research and Extension Center, 25092 Ness Road, in Parsons. Class starts at 8 a.m. with exam at 4:30 p.m.

Plea offer made to Baxter Springs man on charges in Joplin, Mo.

A plea offer was presented to a Baxter Springs man this week on an armed robbery charge he was facing in Joplin, Mo. On Monday Joshua Brandon Mayberry, 29 pleaded guilty in Jasper County Circuit Court to an amended charge.
