CCAA performance raises funds

Baxter Lions Club to recycle plastic bags

The Baxter Springs Lions Club will be receiving a new recycling bin. This bin will be used to collect plastic bags, such as grocery store sacks, newspaper sacks, and clean Ziploc bags. For every 500 pounds of recycled plastic, the recycling company is able to make a park bench.

Blizzard re-arrested after bond revocation

Less than two weeks after her release on a $500,000 bond, Kimberly Blizzard was taken into custody when the Attorney General’s Office filed a motion to revoke bond, charging she allegedly failed to comply with some of the terms set by the court.
