Special summer programs at Johnston Public Library

Johnston Public Library began their summer Tails and Tales program yesterday. Each Thursday at 10 a.m. a special program is on the agenda. All programs will be held outside. Social distancing and masks are encouraged. Kelli Weaver is scheduled June 3.

Jehonadab, the Rechabites

Jehonadab and the Rechabites are mentioned in both 2 Kings (2 Kings 10:15-31) and in Jeremiah (chapter 35). The Rechabites were a nomadic group who took an oath to live in tents, to not drink wine, nor to plant vineyards or other crops.
