On a recent bus tour to Iowa, our group visited numerous places and among them was the Surf Ballroom at Clear Lake, Iowa. Many of you reading this will remember the tragic plane crash early the morning of February 3, 1959 that has been coined, “The Day The Music Died”. Three great rock ’n roll singers with many talents lost their life in that plane crash, last performing at the Surf Ballroom.
