The Columbus Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Google Business Training workshop, free for Chamber members. Nonmembers are welcome to attend at a fee of $10 per person. Those attending are welcome to bring their lunch.

What does the Chamber of Commerce do?

The Columbus Chamber of Commerce is an organization of businessmen, women, organizations and individuals who have joined together to accomplish collectively what they could not individually.
The Columbus Chamber of Commerce Community Impact Award was presented to the Methodist Church Thrift Shop at the Chamber’s annual dinner January 29. In presenting the award, Rebecca Spooner said, “the shop does so much for this community and brings in people from all over to shop.” Accepting the award were Judy Leighty and Anita Davolt.

The Columbus Chamber of Commerce Rising Star award was presented to Bowlers Boulevard with the reopening of the bowling lanes. Amy and Chris Johnson worked hard to enhance the lanes curb appeal, implementing improvements such new paint, new signage, landscaping. Rebecca Spooner presented the award.

Kilim rugs, not only for floors

A kilim is a type of rug that originated in Asia, falling into the broad category of Oriental rugs. The earliest known examples were found in China, and the most famous come from western Asia.
