New Columbus Unified High School track records were set at the regional track and field competition which resulted in four athletes advancing to state competition. Junior Preston Hosier’s jump of 6 feet 3 ¼ inches broke the previous school record and earned him a firstplace finish. Matt Hess cleared 6 feet even earning him third place overall in high jump.
