As promised, I am sharing the legend of the Dogwood Tree with you this week. The legend goes like this.At the time of the crucifixion, the Dogwood is said to have been the size of the oak and other forest trees. So strong and firm was the wood that it was chosen as timber for the cross.

The museum tree is up and decorated for Easter. If you would like to decorate the tree in a future month, contact Doris at the museum.
