“Have A Good One -- It’s Union Made” is the slogan on this cigar store advertising sign. It could also work as a Labor Day salutation. The first Labor Day celebration, held in New York City on Tuesday, September 5, 1882, was planned by the Central Labor Union.

25 Years Ago September 1 - 7, 1999The Columbus area received over two inches of rain in a short period of time on Saturday causing the Cherokee County Courthouse several small disasters. Work on the new roof was not finished Friday and the new court room was most affected by the leaky roof.
