The fresh live wreaths arrived in several large cardboard boxes which were unpacked and taken to the individual grave sites.
Patty Tavanero, the speaker, was the person who connected with Wreaths Across America and brought the program to Weir Cemetery.
Though there was a small number of workers to place the wreaths they covered the 35 veterans graves in a short time.
Each veterans grave received a wreath and a brief moment of silence from the person delivering the wreath. They were not there to decorate the graves but to remember not their deaths, but their lives.
