Author Michael Wallis, spoke at Missouri Southern University to a group of Route 66 aficionados about his trips on the famous highway and the people he met along the way.
There are half a hundred or so members of Route 66 groupies, mostly from around Galena who are preparing for a two year “Route 66” fest as the highway hits the century mark.
They will be joining an expected thousands of Route 66 boosters nationwide in the celebrations.
Members of the Galena group frequently respond promptly to events occurring on or near Kansas Route 66.
