Jerry Norman, 89, Baxter Springs, died Saturday, February 17, 2024 at Freeman Hospital, Joplin, Mo.
Born December 19, 1934, Jerry was the son of John Norman and Faye (Norman) Moore. Jerry was united in marriage to Glenda (Hewkin) Norman.
Before moving to Baxter Springs, they had lived in Laughlin, Nev., Fairfield, Calif., Las Vegas, Nev., and Corpus Christi, Texas.
Jerry retired after serving in the United States Air Force for twenty years. While in the Air Force he served during Korea and Vietnam. He then worked for a short time in civil service. Jerry enjoyed airplanes, guns, thrift shopping and traveling to name a few.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, wife and his brothers.
Survivors include three daughters, Paula Sue Doran (Shawn) of Fairfield, Calif., Lisa Norman of Sacramento, Calif., and Julia Brackfield of Vacaville, Calif.; son, Jerry Norman Jr. (Julie) of Moville, Iowa; brother, Dave Norman; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren also survive.
