Bobby Myers, 87, Baxter Springs, died March 5, 2024, at Quaker Hill Skilled Nursing Home.
Born April 5, 1936, in Galena, Bob was the son of Harry and Mary (Mishler) Myers. Bob graduated from Riverton High School with the class of 1954. Bob owned and operated Baxter Pick-Up Service for over 40 years. He was also an agent for Mistletoe Express, Manley Freight, and Railway Express in Baxter Springs for many years. Bob also owned and operated the Columbus Bowling Alley during the 1960’s.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Bart Myers.
Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Friday, March 8 (today) at Oak Hill Cemetery in Galena. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m.-2 p.m., Friday at Derfelt’s Baxter Chapel. Pastor Alan Parker will officiate. Online condolences may be expressed at www.derfeltfuneralhomes. com.
