Tornadic winds tore through Southwest Cherokee County Friday evening leaving a swath of damaged buildings, felled trees and dead turkeys.
It was approximately 6:30 p.m. when the storm first hit and created a mile wide swath of destruction between Southwest Tenth Street and Twentieth Street.
