Virginia M. Swenson, 80, Mound Valley, died September 6, 2024, at her home.
Born August 20, 1944, in Miami, Okla., Virginia was the daughter of Carl and Viola (Kirk) Tinsley.
Virginia and Ernest P. Swenson, Sr. were united in marriage March 19, 1994. He survives of the home.
Virginia was a housekeeper and cleaning person for Woodworth Community Services for many years.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mound Valley.
In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by a brother Robert Tinsley, a son Ernest P. Swenson, Jr. and a daughter Amy Betts.
Additional survivors include a daughter: Loretta Collins of Springfield, Mo.; a son Kenny Betts of Afton, Okla; a daughter Lydia Kepner of Parsons and a brother Larry Tinsley of Blue Jacket, Okla.; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren also survive.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, September 12 at the Richland Cemetery in Angola. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 11 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home of Columbus. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Mound Valley.
