Elfriede “Ellie” Charlotte Wagner, 78, Baxter Springs, died Thursday, September 26, 2024, at her home surrounded by family.
Born November 27, 1945 in Heidelberg, Germany, Ellie was the daughter of Alfred and Elisabeth (Fromm) Muller. She was united in marriage to Ronald A. Wagner April 1, 1966, in Heidelberg, Germany.
Ellie worked for Quaker Hill Nursing Home as the head cook for 27 years before her retirement. She was a member of the O.E.S., for over twenty years. She enjoyed animals, especially her dog Buddy. She would also take trips to the casino. She loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Ellie was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Elisabeth Muller; husband, Ronald A. Wagner; brother, Heinz Schollenberger.
Survivors include two sons, Brett Wagner and wife Patsy of Riverton and Ron A. Wagner, Jr. of Baxter Springs; daughter, Sheila Price and husband Larry of Galena; grandchildren, Samantha Clevenger and husband Jesse, Laricia Higinbotham, Jon Wagner, Brian Price, Dakota, Kody, Jessie, Jena, and Shakota Wagner; three great grandchildren, Paislee Wagner, Ellie and Jentri Clevenger, along with additional great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, October 1, at Derfelt’s Baxter Chapel. Pastor Wes Davis will officiate. Burial will follow in the Quaker Valley Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m., prior to the service. Pallbearers for the service will be, Jon Wagner, Brian Price, Jesse Clevenger, Kody Wagner, Jessie Wagner, and Brandon Jones.
