Frankie Douglas Price, 80, Baxter Springs died Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at his home.
Born September 11, 1944, in Ottawa County, Okla., Frankie was the son of Thomas and Minnie (Pierce) Price.
After graduation Frankie enlisted in the United States Navy, serving his country proudly. Upon his return home he was united in marriage to Linda Corriene (Simpson) Price Saturday, December 14, 1968 in Hockerville, Okla. She survives of the home.
Frankie went to work for a car dealership in Galena for a short time before going to work for Doanes Dog Food in Galena. There he was the manager of the bag warehouse and retired after 37 years with the company.
Frankie enjoyed fishing, but he especially enjoyed the time he was able to spend with his family and spoiled his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Frankie was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Minnie Price; infant daughter, Leasa Price; four brothers, Ed, Bob, TJ, and Rick Price.
Additional survivors include two daughters, Cathliene Dunn and husband Kenny of Baxter Springs, and Valinda England and husband Gary of Parthenon, Ark. and sister, Ginger Crossland of Claremore, Okla.; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Monday, October 21 at Derfelt’s Baxter Chapel. Pastor Jeff Street officiated. Burial followed in the Baxter Springs Cemetery. Pallbearers were Mikeal Price, Gary England II, Jacob England, Shawn Price, Shelby Dunn and Jay Price.
