Darla D. Banzet

Darla D. Banzet, 84, Bernice, Okla. died early Thursday morning, November 7, 2024, at Grand Lake Villa in Grove, Okla., after a long illness.

Born in Columbus November 20,1939, Darla was the daughter of Lute and Leota (Fowler) Headly.

Darla and Carl Banzet, the love of her life, were united in marriage June 29, 1957, in a ceremony in Melrose. He survives of the home.

For many years, Darla worked as a bookkeeper for tax firms and law offices. She loved tending to her flowers, travelling with her husband, and spending time on their land in Kansas. She had attended the Melrose Methodist church in her early years. She and her husband were faithful members on the Bernice Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son, Bart and a brother, Harry Headly.

Additional survivors include two sons, Brett Banzet and wife Ann of Columbus and Brian Banzet of Arma; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive.

At this time, no services will be held.
