After 40 years as a nurse and Director of Health Services at Mercy Hospital Columbus, Mary Burke retired with a well attended reception Friday morning. Hospital administrator Angie Saporito thanked Mary for her years of service and recognized her what she has done for the community. Mary’s husband Dennis Burke, a long time educator in Cherokee County joined in the celebration.
Mary Burke is greeted by former Mercy Hospital Administrator Cindy Neely during the reception. The two ladies worked together for over 30 years at the then Maude Norton Hospital.
