Serious injuries were sustained by an 18-year-old female in a car accident Monday, March 31.
Eryn Annaliese Hosfelt of Baxter Springs was driving a 1999 Dodge Neon north on Southeast 50th near Southeast Beasley Road. Hosfelt departed the roadway to the left and struck a guardrail.
Hosfelt, who was wearing a seatbelt, was taken to Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, Mo.
