Hulda Jane Rhude, 101, Columbus, died peacefully at her home on Wednesday, 26 November 2025.
Born March 31, 1924, in Cherokee County, Hulda was the daughter of Thory and Jane Shepard Anderson. She lived most of her life in Columbus. She married Richard Rhude in 1945 and had one daughter, Susan Jane Rhude.
Hulda was active in her community, committed to many charitable causes throughout her life and was greatly admired by those fortunate enough to know her.
In addition to her parents, Hulda was preceded in death by siblings, husband and daughter.
She is survived by many grand and great-grand nieces and nephews who will deeply miss her always cheerful disposition and thoughtfulness.
Graveside services will be held at 12:30 p.m., Thursday, December 4, at Park Cemetery in Columbus. The family will receive friends at Derfelt Funeral Home, Columbus, from 11 a.m., until leaving for the cemetery.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Derfelt Funeral Home in Columbus.
