Jobs are declining 1.5 percent in Cherokee County according to the MOKAN economic study released at the end of 2020. The report indicates there were 6,941 jobs in to 6,837 in 2020. This change fell short of the national growth rate of 6.2-percent by 7.7 percent.
The number of jobs decreased in 2017 to 6,742 held steady in 2018 at 6,737 but increased to 6,864 in 2019.
