Columbus firefighters were dispatched to the Jayhawk Fine Chemical plant to a structure fire at 6:55 p.m. Sunday.
Upon arrival company officials told the firefighters to stay out, the company firefighters would handle the situation.
The computer driven oil pump was shut off from another building and the fire went out, according to Columbus Fire Department officials.
