A one-vehicle accident occurred March 4 at approximately 10:40 p.m. A 2008 Kia Optima driven by Cheyenne Bertrand, 22, of Texas was traveling west on Northwest Scammon Road. The driver lost control, went off the roadway to the left and struck a tree. She was not wearing a seatbelt. Bertrand was taken to Via Christi Hospital for treatment of suspected serious injury.
