Ila Mae (McCandless) Gipson, Galena, 81, died peacefully at 12:11 p.m. Wednesday, April 1, 2026 at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, Mo., surrounded by her family.Born December 6, 1944 in rural Sarcoxie, Mo., Ila was the daughter of Clyde and Mildred (Baldwin) McCandless.She graduated from Riverton High School with the Class of 1962.
