The Baxter Springs Lions placed sixth as a team in the Kansas Class 3A State Golf Tournament, Monday and Tuesday at Topeka’s Lake Shawnee Golf Course. Baxter Springs Freshman, Colt McCoy, was one stroke away from a top ten finish at the Kansas Class 3A State Golf Tournament after shooting a 15 over par, 155, two-day total to tie for 11th place. Colt, the CNC League Runner-up, received a state medal for his top 20 placing.
