Columbus Titan Junior, Levi Simpson, became the CNC League Champion in the 800 Meter Run with his win at the league meet, Thursday, in Girard. Levi ran a time of 2:01.51 minutes to take the win and the title.

Titan Junior, Ben Major, hurled 11 strike outs in five innings, allowed two earned runs (four unearned), on six hits, and two walks in the 6-5 regional loss in Iola, Wednesday.

Lady Titan Senior, Trinity Green, was recognized on Senior Night at Rockette Grafel and Juston Grafel. Field, May 11, during the double header split with Riverton. Trinity is a two-year member of the Lady Titan Softball Team. She was escorted by her parents Ryan and Todd Lacen.

Columbus Elementary School Physical Education Coach, Heath Perry, had his hands full with the All-School Elementary Track and Field Meet Friday at Central School. Students in K-6 and teachers competed in various events from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

The Baxter Springs Lion Golf Team won their fourth straight tournament at the Columbus Invitational, Thursday, at the Brush Creek Golf Course. The event had been postponed and was a make-up for the CNC League Teams. Team members with Head Coach Art Roberts are Gunnar Conrad, Colt McCoy, Ethan McCoy, Josh Beeler, Landon Atiknson, and Cole Parrish.

Titan Senior Golfers hosted the Columbus Invitational CNC Tournament, Thursday at the Brush Creek Golf Course. Titans participating the final tournament on their home course are Zane Gray, Lemmie Stone, and Hunter Ruddick. The final CNC League regulars season tournament is Wednesday, hosted by Galena.
